All About Cleansing

Since spring is traditionally the best time for cleansing. I have put together several blogs and recipes about cleansing. Summer in Vermont may be even better for cleansing!

CLEAN: The Revolutionary Program to Restore the Body’s Natural Ability to Heal Itself

Above are some links to my blog – and recipes below. One resource that I recommend is a book by Dr. Alexandro Junger called Clean: The Revolutionary Program to Restore the Body’s Natural Ability to Heal Itself. I wouldn’t altogether say that his program is revolutionary; it contains a lot of information that has been around for a while. But it is very well put together and in alignment, for the most part, which what I could consider a healthy cleanse for most people. It is available in my office and at Amazon.com.

Here are some recipes:

Cool Breakfast Smoothie

Hummus

Olive Paste

Moroccan Quinoa Salad

Grilled Spiced Lamb Chops

Mango Jicama Watercress Salad

Ginger Stir-fried Chicken and Veggies over Buckwheat Noodles

Laos Chicken Salad (Laap Gai)

Ayuvedic Avocado Salad

Most of the recipes in the Clean book are delicious. Some, on the other hand, are kind of gross and not particularly great for the spleen and stomach. In particular, I don’t like the liquid meals that contain raw butternut squash.

Here’s a warm liquid meals with  cooked butternut squash soup with kale and chickpeas – blended.

Savory Smoothie

and Smoothies, Smoothies, Smoothies

Happy cleansing!
